The section meets on the dates listed in the meetings calendar in the Lounge. The dates are usually fortnightly on a Monday and the meetings are held in the Llanharry Workingmens Club, Llanharry at 8pm. To find the club there is a multimap on their website. If you're not a VMCC member but have an interest in motorcycles, then you are most welcome to come along and meet us. Our meeting attendances usually average around 60 - depending on the weather, bank holidays or if the meeting is an Agm.

I'm still a little lost with what I'm doing with this site but am learning all the time, so, it is hoped that the site will 'fill' out and become a useful means of communication within the club and the section. With any luck I'll be inundated with information that I can use - meanwhile, you'll find that some areas are a little sparse on content - be patient please and as much as I don't like to say it - things are very much "under developement".

Do feel free to 'wander' around the premises and see what the section is all about.

To start off with, a visit to the Bike Park is recommended as on display  is a  range of motorcycles owned by various members of the  Section.

 Personally, I always visit the Bar first (don't you?) to see if there are any 'bargains' to be had in the sales and wants.  Whilst in Spares and Services you will find contact information pertaining to  suppliers  for motorcycle items. Additionally, here you will also find a number of General motorcycling web links  that might be of interest.

The lounge is the place to go for a quiet read of the Section newsletter. Alternatively you can check on Section meetings, Section runs and other events and even catch up on some past happenings in the Archive, not forgetting the page called When was it?. 

The Library is open to all VMCC members and  Section members alike.  Here you will find Technical information, or read some of the Features articles, plus Bike reports.

In the Office you will find all the 'Fuddy Duddies' who run the Section along with any announcements that the Chairman or Secretary need to make plus information on the VMCC, our National Club.

                                  Site Technical information

This covers how the site is laid out, but if you're like me you'll have got bored by now and started using the good old 'trial and error' method. However, for those 'sad' people who need to read everything on each page then as the saying goes, 'fill your boots'!!

Site layout has been made similar to that used for your computer directory so that moving around should be easy.  Navigation can be achieved by various hyperlinks (underlined Blue) and buttons situated on the pages. Additionally to speed up selection a link to all main sections will be found at the top of every page, note that the CONTENTS page may be used to directly access any part of the Web Site.

Each page has been tested using Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 7 and Opera. Please excuse me if I've missed anything and do let me know if you have any problems viewing pages. The only problem that I have encountered is with Internet Explorer which threw up an error message that stated that IE had stopped the site from running ActiveX scripts. If this happens to you then it is most probably due to the security level being set too high in your IE and is due to the lefthand side buttons turning red when the mouse is held over them. Everything will still work ok with the website even if you do not change your security settings.

All external links to other web sites will open in a new window so that when you are finished with that site and close the window down, this site will still be there for you to continue.

For viewing, the site was originally designed for a default screen size of 1024 x 768 but hopefully should work on your default setting.

Finally the layout has been designed to be quite simple so that it is easy on the eye to find what you are looking for without overloading the information given on any one page.
